La Wollemia Nobilis \u00e8 stata scoperta nel settembre del 1994 dalla guardia forestale David Noble, dal quale la pianta prende il nome scientifico, in una profonda gola del Wollemi National Park, a 150 km a nord di Sydney, Australia.
\nFino ad allora gli studi su questa conifera erano possibili solo tramite foglie fossili risalenti a circa 90 milioni di anni fa.<\/p>\n

Vi sono pochi esemplari in giro per il mondo, soprattutto fuori dall’Australia, e uno di questi lo potete trovare nel nostro museo.<\/p>\n
